2019 is shaping up to being a busy year! I’m continuing to work on a large and diverse range of projects. As an evidence-based colour consultant, I’ve recently worked on colour insight, colour validation and colour strategies for data visualisation, branding, packaging design, product design and the built environment. In late 2018, I was appointed an advisor to Norna.ai, a Stockholm-based AI tech startup. In my role, I provide evidence-based information about colour theory and application, and colour trends. Norna was founded in response to the growing need for true personalization within the AI digital field.  To find out more about Norna, check their website.

I’m continuing my commitment to share evidence-based information about colour. To this end, I continue to author journal articles, book chapters and LinkedIn posts. In addition, I create content for social media and present papers at local and international conferences.

This year will see the publication of my latest book chapter. Colour, Power & Identity will appear in ‘A Cultural History of Colour: The Modern Age’. Edited by Sarah Street and Anders Steinvall and series editors, Carole Biggam and Kirsten Wolf, this book is being published by Bloomsbury,  London.

I’m continuing my work with the Colour Collective, an initiative I founded in mid 2018. The Colour Collective initiates and supports creative, game-changing colour activations in design, branding, architecture, art and industry. Along with Naomi Shaw, Nadine Donazzan, Melissa Ward and Geoffrey Gifford, we’re planning a busy schedule for 2019. This includes Colour Psychology Workshop, Colour Fundamentals Workshop, Blank Canvas Workshop and corporate events, talks, workshops and awards. In addition, we’re planning colour-focused tours to Morocco (2019), France (2020) and beyond. For Colour Collective Tours, check out the website.
